About the Book
The goal of this book is to give a simple procedure for designing a static simulation program of copper solvent extraction configuration. This simple procedure will allow designers to quickly have a static simulation program for complex configuration or new product that have not yet simulation program developed by supplier. It also will allow plant metallurgists to have a static simulation program for checking plant performances. This static simulation program uses Excel solver program for optimization. Knowledge of the use of Excel Solver is not sufficient. The book also gives advice that prevents static simulation programs to crash when initial data change.
About the Author
Joseph kafumbila is metallurgist with over 18 years of experience in research and design of the hydrometallurgical plant of copper and cobalt. He worked for Gécamines and First Quantum minerals as project metallurgist. He collaborated with Anglo American Technical Sevices, Minproc and Mintek in South Africa and with Lycopodium australia
