About the Community Edition

A book of contemporary English language Waka: Waka, described in English as short form poetry, is best known by the Japanese form of Hokku or Haiku which is itself a derivative or reduction of earlier Japanese forms. It is primarily concerned with seasons. Senryu, while similar in form, is more concerned with human nature. There are adherents to short form poetry in other cultures as well.
