This is a summary of the book Regression Diagnostics (2ed.), by John Fox.

Regression is a very old technique, but it is still useful to a wide variety of problems. In particular, it provides a means of exploratory data analysis and data preprocessing. Many data science projects fail, because people don't bother to understand data and just blindly apply the latest "cutting-edge" machine learning models.
