About the Author
Rev. Dr. Stephany Rose, is an activist, public commentator, pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Colorado Springs and associate professor of Women's and Ethnic Studies at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. She holds a B.A. English from Clark Atlanta University as well as a M.A. in American Literature and a Ph. D. in American Studies both from Purdue University. Her research specialties include critical race and gender studies, English literature, and American popular culture. An interdisciplinary scholar and a social justice activist, Dr. Rose produces transformative scholarship that reaches far beyond the walls of academia. She is often called upon to expertly address and consult on issues concerning race and gender dynamics in American popular culture and society.
