About the Book
The goal of this book is to help folks who want to use Python to do something, in the most efficient way possible. You either want to clean millions of records, build an app or get into machine learning. You don't want to tinker or earn meaningless badges - you want to leveraging Python to create real-world solutions.
It was inspired by a need to provide my tutoring students with a reference that I couldn't find.
The goal of this book is to help you think and work like a problem solver, leveraging Python to solve problems or to make your life easier, so you don't have to waste time filling in the holes in your knowledge and forgoing those controlled environments that give you a false sense of progress - so you can build that thing you want to build.
This book will be a guide to introduce you to the importance of reading the documentation, you'll start implementing version control immediately, and get you in the practice of debugging by testing your code, as well as, setting you up to deploy your code or jump into that framework you've been itching to use.
About the Author
Shani spent 9 years digging through SQL databases, JSON and wrangling software implementation for a B2B SaaS, where she also picked up web development (HTML, CSS) and programming in business rules. Self-taught in Swift before switching to Python, she’s turned her knack for problem-solving into tutoring preteens to adults in math and coding. Now, she’s building an EdTech app because workbooks annoyed her one too many times. “Python for Doers” is her no-fluff take on coding—born from real self-study habits, not theory, and meant to get you building fast.
