Who is this Book For?

The first volume of the Procurement ClassRoom Series, this book is aimed at anyone seeking a basic source of information on public procurement and contract administration. It is intended to be direct, easy to read, and practical.

In this book I assume:

• You have little or no experience in public procurement and contract administration
• You aspire to be a public procurement practitioner
• You want to get a general understanding of public procurement and contract administration in the shortest period of time
• You prefer a text that is to-the-point and useful

This book intentionally avoids going into more depth than is necessary for beginners.

An International Procurement and Supply Management Consultant with almost 30 years of experience, Jorge A. Lynch T. received a Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Cranfield University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (FCIPS).

Jorge manages projects, advises government and donor officials, and provides training and capacity building in Public and Project Procurement. Jorge has worked primarily on donor-funded and development projects in Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Islands.

The Founder of The Procurement ClassRoom, Jorge writes the Procurement ClassRoom Series for beginners and aspiring procurement practitioners.
