About the Book
Learning a programming language and - more importantly - learning the other fundamental skills which underpin it - is hard. But it shouldn't be. I have fond memories of learning my first programming language (BASIC on a BBC Micro) and I enjoy nothing more than sharing my love of code with others.
Children thrive when they are able to guide their education, exploring and learning through play. So what if we took a similar approach to helping them learn about coding - and their first programming language - but without taking away all the bits that are really fun.
Playful Programming is just that. Information, resources and suggestions for helping to guide young children through the process of learning a skill which is perhaps as fundamental to modern life as the original 'three Rs' were not so long ago.
