About the Book
I've met many skilled professionals that have worked for years with what they call Scrum, while not considering the pitfalls in this book. If they had been satisfied with their way of working and with the results they were getting that wouldn't bother me. The problem is that many of them were wondering why they weren't seeing better productivity, cooperation and creativity now that they were using Scrum. Only they weren't. My hope is that sharing these pitfalls will help you see what may easily go wrong in the seemingly simple framework of a Scrum - so that you can spare yourself some trouble. And let's be clear: this isnt't about dogmatically following rules. It's about understanding and getting value. If you have chosen to invest in using Scrum but aren't getting the traction you're expecting, this is the book for you.
