About the Book
PHP Revolution
This book aims to give a quick overview of PHPs bumpy and very 'hit and miss' history through to its current state, then focusing on the direction it's now being pushed and how you can use its somewhat newfound direction to achieve coding nirvana on your projects. Making sure you are following industry standards, future proofing yourself and making your future you happy.
We'll cover topics such as:
- architecture & frameworks
- composer
- patterns
- frameworks
- performance
- testing
- and more
PHP Revolution is aimed at beginner to intermediate readers who have a reasonable grasp of the PHP fundamentals, looking to keep up with what's going on and discover proven ways to structure, write, and test their code and projects. I'll also be providing links and resources to those who want to dive even deeper into each topic.
Throughout the book, I'll also be working on creating a sample project that will put to use all the topics we cover.
