About the Book
This book will not help you. Not unless you’re serious. How serious do you have to be? Jesus says, “If your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off, and throw it from you; for it is better for you that one of the parts of your body perish, than for your whole body to go into hell” (Matt. 5:30 NASB).
This book will help you — if you're serious, but can’t figure out why you haven’t gotten victory.
There’s more to overcoming sexual sin than willpower. You will need the Holy Spirit. You will need the tools He has provided in His toolchest, the Bible. You will need prayer, fasting, and other disciplines. You will need to identify and know how to fight on three fronts at once: the world, the flesh, and the devil. The Bible gives us everything that we need for life and godliness (2 Pet. 1:3), but like most wars, it will take training (Luke 6:40; Heb. 12:11) in how to use God’s tools and methods. Too many people give up because all they have tried are weak weapons rather than the weapons that are “mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” (2 Cor. 10:4). For those committed to laying down their lives for Christ, this book gives you guidance that has already helped hundreds, young and old, to gain complete victory in this area of purity of thought and body.
Jesus says, “Without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). You can’t even catch a fish without God’s help. Just ask Simon Peter. He said, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net” (Luke 5:5). It is only by faith that you can see Jesus do the impossible. May this book usher you into impossible victory after victory.
