In 2013, Robert Kingett went offline for a month as part of a challenge. The social experiment was supposed to chronicle life as a Blind man living without internet for a whole month. This book is a compilation of journal entries from that month offline. Readers will see how the world became hostile to an offline Disabled youth, including banking bungles, telephone mishaps, and inability to game due to games requiring online access. The book also highlights how conversations flow offline and the valuable lessons one writer learned while offline.

Robert Kingett

Robert Kingett is a totally blind author, journalist, and accessibility advocate. Kingett is proudly disabled: He was born with cerebral palsy, he has a stutter, and before he was totally blind, he had always been legally blind. A gay man, he's a proud member of the queer community. Kingett was born in Islip, New York. He grew up in Saint Augustine and attended the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB). Between working on a range of writing projects, he always makes time to read books and check out podcasts. He loves audiobooks, fiction podcasts, and movies and TV shows with audio description.
