On Becoming Scrum covers a range of how individuals with no knowledge in Scrum or IT can learn and develop skills in this field .
The target audience are school leavers, youths, young professionals, IT professionals and individuals who desire a career change.
On Becoming Scrum is different to other Scrum books as this is practical breakdown on Scrum.
Personally, I have gone through a career change and have come across multiple scrum books and journals but none gave a real life experience of the scrum pathway which this book offers.
On Becoming Scrum strength lies in the mixture of a thorough overview of scrum and the reality of Scrum as a Scrum Master with personal examples.
About the Author
Tolu Fajolu Odunlami has years of experience in software development in the areas of E-commerce, retail, and HR & recruitment services. She has helped coach and train companies transitioning to an agile approach using Scrum and has also worked with start-ups and industry experts
She has introduced Agile and Scrum practices into organisations, and has been responsible for the turnaround of traditional projects through the introduction of these practices.
Having completed a Bsc (hons) in Mass Communication and an MSc in Business and Management in view, her further thirst for knowledge made her embark into the professional realm by exceling in The Foundation in Business Analysis from British Computer Society and attaining the Certified Scrum Master certification with Scrum Alliance, with the aim of advancing to the Advanced and Professional Scrum Master stages.
Her first agile role was working as a Scrum Master for a start-up retail company where she introduced and implemented the scrum practice.
Currently, Tolu is a Scrum Master for two Scrum teams with Randstad UK holding with a strong passion to see organisations succeed using the Scrum methodology.
Tolu has recently embarked on the journey of writing about her experience in Scrum and is passionate about sharing and motivating up and rising Scrum Masters.
