About the Book
Each chapter of O'Reilly Media's Learning Perl has exercises at the end. At in-person classes, I've often posed extra exercises for those who wanted to do more. I've collected all of those in this book and provided detailed, in-depth discussions of the various ways to solve each exercise.
Our original idea was to provide this companion book as a bundle for formal classes, and I still hope that's how people might use it. If you are an instructor, take the exercises you see here an incorporate them into your own classes. You don't have to buy one for every student, but I hope that you'll be kind to me at checkout. Your support allows me to create even more Perl content.
This book was originally published by O'Reilly Media as Learning Perl Student Workbook and last published in 2012. I reverted the rights back to myself and updated the book for the Seventh Edition of Learning Perl. Additionally, I kept some chapters on Databases and Smart Matching that we've removed from the book. This new version is another book from Perl School.
