This is a textbook designed for use in an introductory differential equations course, which is typically taught after the second semester of calculus. Specifically, I developed this book to be used for a course we teach at Los Medanos College called Math 240 — Introduction to Differential Equations, which matches the namesake model transfer curriculum (MATH 240) in California under the Course Identification Numbering System (C-ID). This book is a combination of my own writing and ideas from teaching the course nearly every semester since 2012, as well as content from two openly licensed books that are used in many similar courses.
