About the Book
iDB is an Associative Database architecture intended for implementation in portable devices. In many instances, the Associative architecture provides advantages over traditional flat-file, CSV, XML and Relational architectures. Data storage is compact and efficient, organizational hierarchies are dynamic and easily customized, data selection and ordering are simple and intuitive. Features are included to allow multi-user collaboration and remote storage and/or backup of the database.
The Quick Query Language (QQL) provides a compact notation for direct manipulation of data items. It is particularly suitable for use with JavaScript and JSON.
