About the Book
Offered here is a collection of literary oddities with no home, stories previously unread and untold, plays whose performaces are now irretrievably lost, poems of language chanted once or never at all. Within are taxidermied heads, several instances of thievery, mind control, diverse categories of worms, ten anatomies of melancholy, xenophobic lies, xenophobic truths, ghosts or references to ghosts, fouled language, bad luck, hysterical romance, cat people, one lunatic asylum, magnets, the phantom sounds of running horses that do not exist, crazed prophets, cold bones, pages of crime and murder, various molds and fungi. The author personally guarantees that a curious reader with a slightly sinister mind is certain not to be entirely displeased by the contents found herein.
"But the fourth class of monks is that called Gyrovagues, who keep going their whole life long from one province to another, staying three or four days at a time in different cells as guests. Always roving and never settled, they indulge their passions and the cravings of their appetite, and are in every way worse than all other classes of monks. It is better to pass all these over in silence than to speak of their most wretched life." --The Rule of St. Benedict
