El libro es una guía del lenguaje PHP para el desarrollo de aplicaciones web. Está enfocado de forma técnica y sintáctica, con definiciones y ejemplos que muestran el funcionamiento de las declaraciones en el lenguaje.
La guía está dirigida tanto para desarrolladores de cualquier nivel como para aquellos que quieren obtener la certificación Zend. Gran parte de la información de este libro se ha obtenido de la documentación oficial de PHP, junto con otras fuentes que han ayudado a modelar y perfilar los contenidos para adecuarlos a los temas exigidos.
Incluye un apéndice al final con una recopilación de directivas php.ini, constantes, funciones y clases que forman un directorio muy completo de las extensiones incorporadas en PHP. Además, una conclusión en la que nombro los temas que me parecen más importantes para la certificación y una visión personal de la misma.
