About the Book

Hey Product Managers, are you building up a new product with impossible goals? Starting off a new job and awaited for quick results? Harrassed by your boss to reverse the declining trend of your product? Threatened by a colleague who wants to get a hold on your baby? Hindered by the marketing team or worse, by the technical team? Well, you might find some good advice to get out of that tricky situation in this book. If not, you might have some fun reading this.

This book deals with two set of skills and techniques that will help you save your product: guerrilla techniques and survival techniques. As with any technique, the context rules above anything else. There is nothing in this book you can apply blindly, and be especially cautious with some techniques that do not apply in situations where urgency or danger is not your everyday life.

The techniques are all about what I call "radical pragmatism", so if you are a sensible person with strong belief in some absolute and theorical approach, you should probably read something else. If you are serious about applying techniques in this book, you will find a first-aid kit to help you heal yourself and your product.

There is some built-in fun here and there so you hopefully won't fall asleep after reading a couple of pages. However, if you feel tired or had a bad day, read through the fun glossary at the end of the book and you might finish the day laughing.
