About the Book
The Great Sand Dunes National Park is one of Colorado’s most unique and mysteriously beautiful tourist attractions. The dunes were formed through a natural geological process. The sand was essentially left behind by prehistoric lakes that had dried up. This mass then started blowing towards the Sangre Cristo Mountains, and slowly developed into crescent-shaped dunes that we know today.
