About the Book
Strategy is not where you are heading but how you get somewhere in the long run. Strategy is about the deliberate choices you make to get there. That is true for all strategies and especially for test strategies.
Yet we often lose track of the end goal: moving your business toward a future vision. Sometimes the vision is explicit and measurable. Sometimes, it’s a more fuzzy vision of the future. Either way, we need to move from today, through some decision points, and into an unknown future. We need directions.
By the book's end, you will understand how to align with business goals, and I will have provided a visual way to visualize and create relevant test strategies.
About the Author
Jesper primarily works with programs and projects that change the IT landscape of the organization, either by transitioning complete IT services or by transforming the IT solutions for the business to more up-to-date approaches and technologies. In that space aligning with the business drivers and management needs are key to establish a relevant test strategy.
Jesper has recently used Wardley mapping to understand business needs and how the test activities support the needs and goals. Multiple blog posts investigate making the test strategy visible and linking it to an understanding of the system landscape as a whole - also when the system landscape is under change.
