About the Book
The book is divided into 4 main parts:
The first part will examine our motivation and way of thinking about our dailyroutines and practices. It will hopefully make you appreciate why we've chosenthe approaches we have, and how we benefit from using them.
The second part will concentrate on the techniques we use to support ourvalues and goals described in part 1. We will examine different approaches tomaking everyone's life simpler and actually fun.
The third part talks about how we integrate all of these techniques into ourprocesses, and how we keep our codebases clean.
The fourth part is about how we measure our work's impact. What tools wehave and how we automatically know if something's wrong.
About the Author
A seasoned programmer who has been involved with software projects since the age of 12. He had seen the good, the bad and the ugly of the world of IT through working on projects for web agencies, startups, military and govenment bodies and media organizations with technologies ranging from custom languages for embedded systems to enterprise java through trendy interpreted languages. He is a strong advocate of agile techniques, code craftsmanship and discussion driven development. He currently focuses on his own startup: Tailored Tunes where he's applying all the lessons learned previously, and his consulting firm: Stateshifter Labs which aims to help other people and companies to think outside the box and overcome difficulties in software production.
