About the Book
Technology is progressing at a breakneck speed. Have you ever wondered if this progress of technology can be forecasted? Forecasting technology is no mean task and several hundreds of scholars have already researched into the matter. This handbook illustrates a methodology built on top of existing frameworks and improved upon it to make the process of technology forecasting a repeatable, learnable and teachable methodology. The uniqueness of FORMAT is the simplicity of the approach and the presence of both qualitative (imagination driven) and quanititative methods. FORMAT is method agnostic in its components of FOR, M, A and T stages. Any method known to the user can be used in place of those suggested in the handbook. However, caution has to be paid to the gates between the stages. Case studies generated using FORMAT are listed in this link - http://handbook.format-project.eu/?page_id=354
