About the Book

It's a set of video lessons (you download the videos) with each video focusing on simple exercises that help you to better feel and control your feet. The goal is to help you operate your feet without having to think about how you operate them. You do that all ready right? Well now you can do it while also being aware of what you are doing.

There is only about 52 minutes of instruction. You don't have to watch a lot of video to get the hang of these exercises. Instead you can get on with doing them and experiencing your own body for yourself. Exercises are given in a variety of contexts (i.e. poses) so that you can learn to feel and control your feet no matter what the circumstances. And for when you encounter difficulty, i.e. you can quite get your feet to do the exercsises, there are tips to help you get your feet working.

The instruction in this set of videos isn't to tell you the right way to operate your feet, but to give you options for exploring how to use your feet in a variety of standing and seated poses. You'll be able to choose how to use your feet and develop the ability to figure out which option is best.

You know when phones became smart because they could respond to your touch in a variety of different ways? Think of these exercises as a way of making your feet smart. Actually, they were already smart, these exercises are the equivalent of downloading the or finding the software that is already there and actually using it. There is practice involved, but the interesting thing is, when you actually focus on feeling your feet (and your body in general) while exercising, the practice doesn't seem so much like practice.

Hi, I'm Neil Keleher

I’ve been a yoga teacher for about 20 years.

I have a degree in systems design engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Prior to that I served for five years in the British army as an armourer.

As a yoga teacher I teach my students how to feel and control their body. In this context I’m like a driving instructor for your body.

One of my other hats is “indexing specialist”. One of my current ongoing projects under this hat is designing an easy to use indexing system for Chinese characters.
