About the Book
Ableton created an innovative piece of software when they presented Live to the world in 2001. Through their several years of development, they have influenced the industry from DAWs to the music itself. Interestingly though, Live is still not fully understood as a music making tool. It is commonly misunderstood as a tool only for dance music.
In this book I present ideas on how to use Live in new and uncommon ways. These techniques are presented through a historical context focused on experimental music of the 20th century. Theory and technique is the focus on this book. There are many ways to create within Ableton Live.
