That person may not be the SME (Subject Matter Expert) like the professors teaching for years but is the best bet to solve your immediate problem.

Why Pyrography?

Of all the crafts I have practiced, Pyrography is the most valuable for money. It gives me immense satisfaction and serves the purpose for which I practice the art on the weekends. (i.e., to unwind from my regular job)

The best part is this art has got something for everyone.

If you are a beginner, get scrap wood and use your existing soldering pen to start the artwork. Later, you can shift to a proper burner. If you like calligraphy, you can burn letters. A friend of mine is a space enthusiast, and he is making space ships!

With experience, you master the art of shading, which gives depth to the artwork. Drawing the hair, fur, or skin of an animal takes time, but it is worthwhile to put in the effort.

What I love about this skill is that it makes one of the best presents for loved ones. As the art ages with time, it leaves a memorable piece of history for your loved ones.

About the Book

It is not a traditional book but an effort from your friend to present the experience and discussions while learning this art in the last few years. 

I have made many wood and leather burning projects over the years and interacted with fellow crafters. This book is the crux of all those learnings and experiences over the years.

Welcome to my profile!

Here's my story:

I am Business Consultant in my mid-thirties with a Bachelor's in Engineering & Master in Business Management.

I have worked in the areas of IT Advisory & Roadmap and Project Management for transformational projects. Currently, I am working with the public sector in the e-Governance space, trying to take the benefits of technology to the masses through innovation and customization.

This aspect of disruptive technology beyond regular discussions/implementation excites me. I am always looking for that case study in South America, Africa, or Asia, where the game's rules have been changed to solve the massive scale of the problem!

On the personal front, the last ten years have been a roller coaster ride managing my career and family. My elder son is seven years old, and the second one turned 2.

Besides Technology, I have been into Leather Crafting, wood crafting, and foraging for the last five years. It is a perfect hobby for my weekends, and I enjoy crafting beautiful gifts for my family and friends.

I have been working consistently and most importantly enjoying my current phase of life, career, and growth. With all the experience and renewed vigor, I will surely achieve my goals in a stipulated time frame. I decided to jot down my learning and experiences along the way and share it with you.
