Public Cloud technology and Agile methodologies are powerful tools for change when done well, enabling firms to keep up in the fast-moving world post-Covid19. At the conceptual level, both are fairly simple to grasp, as long the information is good. Myriad books exist that are aimed at engineers, but very little is there for Leaders. Without good information the leader is vulnerable (and from many sides). This book seeks to redress this lacuna and provide leaders with the relevant concepts in a way that enables them enable change to accelerate within the organisation, post-Coivd19.
About the Author
Toby Corballis works with leadership in to implement Organisational Change using Agile techniques such as Kanban and SCRUM, most usually with some kind of technical bent to them. For example, many projects have recently incorporated systems running on one or another Public or Private Cloud solution. He frequently helps organisations implement more efficient ways of working, which invariably requires some form of organisational redesign.
He believes that the evolution of Agile and Cloud-based technology has reached the point where rapid digital acceleration is possible but that there are two main things holding it back: fear and misunderstanding (often fuelled by misinformation) at the leadership level.
Toby has worked with leading Investment Banks, FinTech firms, Exchanges, Insurance Brokers, Underwriters, Management Consultancies, and Telecoms firms. The patterns he sees are common to them all.
Toby hosts a fortnightly podcast called Wicked Problems (see www.wickedproblems.fm for full details), is an accredited Executive Coach, and hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Organisational Leadership from Saïd Business School.
