About the Author
Valerio Zanini is a Product Management, Agile, and AI trainer and consultant. He works with organizations worldwide to spark the adoption of Agile and Product innovation practices.
With more than 20 years of professional experience spanning software development, design thinking, and product innovation, he is the CEO of the product innovation firm 5D Vision, with offices in Washington, DC. He provides consulting and training to organizations of any size, helping them become more innovative with product mastery, with agile methodologies, and with design thinking.
He is passionate about creating products that customers love and developing the teams that make them a reality. Previously, a Director of Product Development at Capital One, he led digital transformation initiatives for the retail bank division. Before Capital One, Valerio was the cofounder and CEO of Goozex.com (sold in 2012), a Systems Engineer at Cisco, and the cofounder of one of the first web development companies in Italy.
He is the author or co-author of several books: SAFe to Scale, Sprint Your Way to Scrum, and Deliver Great Products That Customers Love. He also hosts Product Bytes, a video channel on Product Management, Innovation, and Agile topics.
Valerio is a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), a Certified Product Innovation Trainer (CPIT), and a SAFe Program Consultant (SPC). He holds an MBA from the University of Maryland, and an MS/BS in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Rome, Italy.
