About the Book
Congaree National Park intacts the largest old growth bottomland hardwood forest in the United States. The park is located in the state of South Carolina in the small town of Hopkins, next to the major city of Columbia. It is characterized by several unique features with 34 square miles spreading of forests and wetlands, fresh water bodies and a variety of species of plants and animals.
Congaree swamp has a distinctive ecosystem consisting of forest wetlands, oxbow lakes, and slow moving creeks and so on. The park covers a total area of 22,200 acres. Approximately 160,000 people visited the Congraee National Park in 2018.
