About the Book
This book contains a large quantity of solved problems and study notes for classical mechanics.
- A collection of miscellaneous notes and problems for my personal (independent) classical mechanics studies. A fair amount of those notes were originally in my collection of Geometric (Clifford) Algebra related material so may assume some knowledge of that subject.
- My notes for some of the PHY354 lectures I attended. That class was taught by Prof. Erich Poppitz. I audited some of the Wednesday lectures since the timing was convenient. I took occasional notes, did the first problem set, and a subset of problem set 2.
- Some assigned problems from the first two problems sets for PHY354.
- Miscellaneous worked problems from other sources.
About the Author
Peeter Joot is a math and physics enthusiast with a love of geometric algebra.
Peeter's education includes a B.A.Sc from UofT (1997 Engineering Science - computer engineering), 2019 UofT M.Eng (ECE electromagnetics), a lot of self-study, and non-degree study of most of the interesting 4th year UofT undergrad physics courses.
Peeter's day job is software development. He has over 20 years of experience with low level systems programing, operating system and hardware abstraction and exploitation, concurrency, and large scale refactoring. Peeter works for LzLabs and now has fun with PL/I, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS and other legacy subsystems sure to scare away most developers of his generation.
