About the Book
Circuit Theory for Electrical Engineers is a text for undergraduate programs in EE. The book covers a breadth starting from early concepts, all the way to modern design. The book has a keen focus on working with the mathematical rigor one expects at the university level, while demonstrating concepts through hands-on computational tools like Octave. The text carries the reader from graph theory and Kirchoff's laws, through circuit analysis techniques, circuit simulation techniques, microwave circuit analysis tools, to circuit synthesis. The text also delivers a large part of mathematics required for modern electrical engineers. The book has been the outcome of several iterations of the Circuit Theory course for second-year undergraduates at IIT Delhi. A student of this text will be well prepared for advanced courses in communications, control theory, power electronics, power systems, analog electronics and VLSI.
