About the Book
I wrote the book "Cheers to Honey", the original Burmese name "ဟန်နီသို့တမ်းချင်းများ" between 2021 and 2022.
Origin
I published this book in the year 2022 on the internet with the poet's name called "မှိုင်းစေ".
It was a huge hit for people with the same feelings as mine in that era.
Years, since 2021, Myanmar has been in a dictatorship, and university students didn't get a chance to go back to the classroom since 2020 COVID-19.
With the depiction of the emotions of a young man who hasn't gotten a chance to see his girlfriend again, there are 10 poems in this book with the background of the political conditions of Myanmar.
As a poet, I can say these poems are the true history of those years.
After many years, I couldn't write the same poems again with the same feelings as those days.
I am getting older, I can't be a young man anymore to embrace the same feelings again.
After many years, when the Myanmar civil war ended, I hope these poems let the younger generation know the events, emotions, and things that existed and happened in those periods.
Literature
As a young poet, I was influenced by poets such as Min Lu, Aung Khin Myint, Than Tint, and Aung Cheint in those days.
Thus my poet literature theme could be inspired by these poets heavily in this book.

About the Author
Min Si Thu is a researcher working on Machine Learning in the fields of low-resource languages and endangered languages. He is a strong open-source contributor in Myanmar and started MyanmarGPT-Movement, an Artificial Intelligence Movement in Myanmar.
He likes to play football, read books, and write poems in his leisure.
