About the Book
Sometimes survival isn’t what we think it is.
Survival doesn’t need to mean climbing tall mountains in freezing temperatures or making it back from a plane crash without succumbing to injury or disease.
Sometimes survival is quieter, less obvious. Sometimes it is made up of thousands of little fragments of perseverance that are difficult to
see.
Sometimes survival is radical acts. Persistence is what gives that resistance fuel.
We all carry the capacity within us to make it through, to keep lifting our chins and telling ourselves that there is no one coming to save us, so we best get on with the business of saving ourselves.
We don’t always remember that, but whether we remember it or not isn’t the salient point - the fact that we are inherently capable is.
Sometimes survival is about refusing to be erased.
