About the Book
After years of managing offshore development projects we found ourselves answering a stream of questions how to do certain things in outsourcing. As more new managers and engineers got involved in outsourcing and remote project management, they started looking for solutions to the similar issues we encountered before. Our colleagues and friends kept asking us again and again about outsourcing issues, so we decided to summarize our experience in a book focusing on intellectual property protection, remote human resource management and financial models of outsourcing activity. Everything in the book is based on our actual experience.
About the Authors
Alexey Goder, Ph.D., is an expert in outsourcing of dual-use technology to overseas countries. He is an innovator and entrepreneur who has been working for over twenty years managing high tech projects in semiconductor, medical and oil exploration industries. The last twelve years have been dedicated to remote managing of offshore engineering teams in the areas where IP protection and export regulation compliance play the most critical role.
Tatiana Gromova holds an MS degree in Optics. She worked as CEO of various outsourcing companies in laser, chemical, solar, semiconductor, and nuclear industries. Tatiana is an expert in jump starting new outsourcing companies from scratch and bringing them to multi-million dollar sustained operations with the focus on customer satisfaction and IP protection.
