About the Book

Over 25 years ago my parents made a decision that probably saved my life; they gathered my brothers and sisters and together as a family coax me into leaving my home in El Salvador. leaving behind everyone I loved. With the clothes on my back and $100 my parents gave me, I embarked in a journey full of hope and unknowns. The chronicles within are my humble effort to share my journey with you, with the hope that what I have learned in life and applied in my journey to become the CTO of a multi-million dollar business can help you help others and in the process help you in your own journey.

@My100Journey

Juan Carlos (J.C.) came to the United State in 1989 after graduating high school, enduring an earthquake, a civil war and a kidnapping attempt. Working 3 jobs to pay for college he managed to convince the most beautiful girl in Lincoln, Nebraska to marry him, and give him a family of his own. Throughout his life he has managed to see opportunities where others only saw despair and ventured into this “land of opportunity” by learning while doing – head first.

Every step of the way he found people that believed in him and his crazy ideas to go against the grain and do exactly the opposite of what everyone expected. An entrepreneur at heart, he has left a legacy of implemented ideas at all of his previous jobs, ideas now serving the companies and the people who continue to work there. Having a positive impact on the lives of others has been a trait inculcated in him at a very early age by his parents who lead by example and always sought to put others wellbeing first.

Today, Juan Carlos is building up his own company and provides career advice and mentoring to whoever would listen. In his free time and in good Agile fashion, he is responsible for keeping a well-groomed “honey-do-list” at home in Alpharetta, Georgia.
