About the Book
This book serves several functions. The main one being a prelude and a means for a second book "Quantum Madness and the lazy man".
The first story in the book, Second Chance was written around 1998 while Valse of Silence was written nearly a decade later. It may or may not include "Journals of a Mad Man" (1998-99), which was originally going to be the second book written by the author. It is the original concept behind "Quantum Madness and the lazy man".
Quantum Madness is a mental exercise into the conceptual history of life and the plausable outcome through the eyes of a layman. The central idea without giving too much away is: God is a figment of our imagination. Once that is internalized it would be easier to find harmony.
Until that time, we hope you enjoy this first iteration of Valse of Silence and other Short Stories.
About the Author
The following excerpts from his earlier works may be sufficient in "knowing" something about the author.
- I have heard of the unbelievable - trying to make some sort of sense out of it; but such far fetched stories go against my skeptical upbringing. While I pondered these little fancies I came across a river that was, and simply put, just there. Waiting as it was going along the curse of its path, a bewildering justification of another day’s act.
- ...if one is destroyed, it will follow one by one until all has been consumed to nothingness. And yet, nothingness is a concept far too complex for us to comprehend. It is better to enter the void naturally than created by us.
- You are as divine as any sweetened poison: for love maddens man; for without love, man maddens himself.
- Three years have passed since I last saw you holding me in your arms, near the warmth of your breath. A month has gone by and still no sounds of our morning sound birds that sing songs of a blissful life.
