What is a changelog?

A changelog is a file which contains a curated, chronologically ordered list of notable changes for each version of a project. It is a way to keep track of the project’s evolution, and to communicate it to the users and contributors.

What is in it for me?

By reading the changelog, you get an overview of the most recent changes to the project. This is useful if you are looking to understand the process and trajectory of the project. For early readers, the changelog provides a way to know which novel content has been added, and which community feedback has been applied.

Following changes are known:

  • Added for new features.
  • Changed for changes in existing functionality.
  • Removed for now removed features.
  • Fixed for any bug fixes.
