Leanpub Events
Leanpub will now be running regular events: a 3 hour introductory Book Workshop, a 3 hour GhostAI Workshop, a full-day workshop and a six-week Book Bootcamp.
We have a few reasons to do this, but a big one is that we want to help Leanpub authors be the best self-published authors in the world.
Peter and Len will be sharing their many years of experience building and running a self-publishing platform with thousands of authors and millions of readers directly with you when you attend these events.
Better Credits And Better Memberships
We've made a big change to credit pricing, essentially leveraging our opt-in Leanpub discounts feature to help readers find deals more easily, and help authors sell more books and courses.
Watch the recorded livestream or read the Leanpub Author Update Newsletter for more details on credits. This is an easy win-win for authors and readers, but it does take a bit of explaining, if you're interested in the details of how it all works!
There are also Learner Memberships — Reader Memberships plus course credits ($125 each) — and Organization Memberships — seat-based memberships for companies, publishers, universities, and non-profits.
Updates to Author Services
We've updated all of our AI services. TranslateAI is much simpler to use, with a flat $79 per language.
If you want a bundle with all 31 languages at once, that’s called GlobalAuthor Standard — which also includes CourseAI Standard, which is now just $499.
CourseAI Pro, Publish on Amazon, and GlobalAuthor are now $1,999 each.
Reintroducing GhostAI
Our new GhostAI is a set of skills for Claude Code — Anthropic’s AI coding tool — that helps you write books in your own voice. It helps you start a book, outline chapters, expand bullets into prose, edit drafts, and review your manuscript with cross-chapter intelligence.

Reviews
Readers and authors can now write reviews of books on Leanpub!
We've been asked to support reviews by many people over the years, and it's finally here.
Every book on Leanpub can now be selected in their library by someone who has bought it, and they can write a review:
As an author, you choose whether your book or course landing page has a Reviews section, and you choose which reviews are featured in it.
For readers, Reader Members and Learner Members can opt in to a public profile page, and the reviews they’ve written appear there. Think of it as a reader’s own little bookshelf / review column on Leanpub. (And if a reader doesn’t want a public profile, they don’t have one — also opt-in.)
Two New Essays
Writing books and being an author is a long-term, life-changing thing, and Leanpub is here for the long haul.

You can now offer a testimonial in the author section of your account, if you'd like to support our efforts to grow and attract more authors like you.
