Why Twitter is Great
Twitter is real time.
It shows what is happening right now - at the time you are looking. You can share what your experience is this minute and it is published immediately publicly for everyone on twitter to find.
You can see for each twitter handle what has just been said, who said it, and who else responded to them, favorited what they said, retweeted it or potentially saw it if they are following.
Twitter is open.
You don’t have to follow someone to read their tweets. Heck, you don’t even have to have a twitter account to read what is going on on Twitter.
Twitter transcends boundaries, borders, languages, dividers and separations between people and communities.
Twitter is always on.
People are tweeting 24/7 around the world, so you can always find someone awake live tweeting.
Twitter connects people.
You can reach out to anyone on Twitter by just using their Twitter handle to tweet to them. You can follow anyone without directly communicating with them. You can find others who care about the same things you do and people who are discussing, sharing, tweeting about news, events, issues in this moment.
Twitter enables continuous learning.
Anyone can tweet anything they want to. You can tweet intentionally to portray yourself as an expert or as anything you want to through words and pictures.
