Behavior
- Please act like you were not raised by wolves when you are in public.
- Throwing up gang signs, particularly if you aren’t in a gang, will get you hurt. Very quickly.
- Outside voices should be left outside when you come inside.
- All of those fighting moves you learned from playing your video games and watching amine cartoons will get your butt kicked in the real world.
- Treat your boyfriend/girlfriend/friend/co-workers/spouse with respect.
- Six phrases that never go out of style: “Please”, “Thank You”, “You’re Welcome”, “Sir” and Ma’am”.
- Manners NEVER go out of style.
- Look people in the eye when speaking to them.
- Unless they’re Asian, in which case you may be perceived as staring at them.
- If people back away from you as you get closer to them, something is wrong.
- You have invaded their personal space. Stay where you are and keep talking.
- You are emitting serious body odor. Excuse yourself and fix that.
- Your breath is offending them. See above.
- Do not talk with your mouth full or partially full.
- Your hand is NOT a napkin.
- Neither is your shirt.
- Unless you are allergic to certain foods, eat what is in front of you and ask what it was later.
- If you complain about how the food was prepared, prepare to never be invited back or cooked for again.
- Especially if it’s your date or your spouse.
- And unless you like tasting the floor you are walking on, never pick on your server before they’ve served you your food.
- And don’t let anyone else with you do it either.
