Selecting categories for your book is a great way to help it get discovered in Leanpub’s online bookstore and on social media.
Most books belong in more than one category in our bookstore, and we suggest you choose between three to five categories that your book falls into.
Your selected categories will help people searching for those terms find your book or course in our bookstore.
They also help with social media; if your book is included in a Leanpub discount sale (you can learn how you can opt in to these sales here), then the categories you select will be turned into hashtags in our posts.
