Long-time Leanpub authors may be familiar with the fact that you can use unpaid royalties you've earned to buy services from Leanpub.
This is a really amazing feature. You can write and publish a book for free, and then use the royalties you earn from sales to advertise it on our homepage or in an email newsletter, and even buy translations and other services, which means your book's advertising and promotional budget can come right from its own sales.
But now you can do something else with unpaid royalties: buy books from other Leanpub authors!
That way, writing and publishing a book can turn into a way to feed your own reading habit, and you can support other authors in the Leanpub community at the same time.
How To Buy A Book With Unpaid Royalites
The process is quite simple: just add a book to your cart, and if you have enough usable unpaid royalties to complete the purchase, you will automatically see an option to pay with royalties:

The 60-Day Royalty Hold Period
The royalties from a sale become usable for royalty purchases once they have passed the 60-day royalty hold period.
Like other platforms, we have a hold period because of our 60-day refund policy.
