Lean Publishing Tip of the Day: A Guide To Using AI As A Self-Published Book Author

Today's AI tools can be used to basically give you an affordable team of book publishing and technical assistants that can massively improve your productivity and your discoverability as a self-published book author.

The advantages go a lot further than what you're seeing in the headlines.

A Simple Example: You Have Your Very Own Technical Assistant To Explain And Solve All Your Technical Problems

To start with a simple example, recently a Leanpub author using our Upload writing mode was setting up their HTML Table of Contents and was having some formatting issues.

We pasted their HTML into Claude and asked it to fix the issue, and it gave us a corrected HTML text, which we then shared with the author.

The big lesson here of course is that the author could have done the same thing themselves.

That might sound like a small thing, but it's a HUGE thing. It means all self-published authors are effectively "technical" people now.

It's like you have your own coder to explain and solve basically any technical issue you'll encounter as a self-published author.

And as any self-published author knows, technical issues are an always-on, everyday challenge, one that is daunting, exhausting to confront, and basically a blocker.
