Course Info

This course includes 1 attempt.

As a tutor, my best approach to teaching computer science is to use games that my students already know and love to show them the concepts. Games are a perfect, tangible example of what you can do with programming, and they make things more fun. I bet you've never had a standard programming class ask you to play your favorite video games as part of your homework, but that's what we'll be doing in this course!

Along the way, I'll be sharing some of my best study and learning tips with you. It's information that's helped my students, as well as myself as a student and professional developer.

IMPORTANT NOTE!!

This course and book is still a work in progress, and is currently only a portion of the what will be the completed version.

You can access this content as part of early access and/or a proofreading round.

The price will go up as more content is added, so better to sign up now and get access to future updates. Current PDF page count is about 60 pages.

As an early access reader, you have the opportunity to provide any feedback or make suggestions regarding content. Info on how to reach me is below. If you have any games or specific examples you'd like me to cover related to a particular topic, feel free to contact me with the name of the game, and a description of the feature you'd like me to discuss (gameplay video with specific timestamps, or a good written description are helpful). I cannot guarantee that all suggested games will be included.

If you notice any typos or incorrect or inconsistent info, or have any complaints about the formatting or presentation, or really, any general observations or suggestions that a proofreader would provide, please contact me. This is my first Leanpub course, so I'm still getting things ironed out.

You can also let me know what questions you have or what topics you'd most like to see. I know some of you are currently taking related classes, and I'm hoping this can be a helpful resource for you in addition to your official class material.
