A Bike for Life

How our choices can transform life

About the Book

If you are bored with all the bikes that follow the same trends: lighter, faster, shorter life, more maintenance.

If you long for a bike that can do more than look pretty.

If you have lost hope in British manufacturing, in quality and personality.

Then "A Bike for Life" can inspire you. Follow Dave's dream to create a Bike to transform life. Learn how your choices can help you embrace and celebrate life, not just for you but for others to.

The search for a Bike for Life was a long process inspired by a Lands End to John o'Groats ride in the wettest June on record and by Rob Penn's "It's all about the bike". The search was informed by a huge variety of bikes over the years from fixie's to recumbent tandem trikes, a desire to be free of high maintenance bikes that are unsuitable for everyday use.

The result is a Bike for Life, a very special Shand Stoater and the book examines the impact of every choice helping us in our own search for the Bike for us.

All income is going to support the creation of a Youth Cafe at Syston Methodist Church.

Drafts of chapters 1 to 8 are now published.
