About the Book
"What Would AI Do?" takes on a fascinating experiment, casting AI as the protagonist and immersing it in the intricacies of the human experience to keenly observe its actions. The book explores a series of thought-provoking scenarios, each presenting complex ethical dilemmas and decision-making challenges. These scenarios are crafted as AI prompts, skillfully designed to stimulate critical thinking and provide insight into how AI might navigate difficult situations.
Delving into hypothetical scenarios with specific options available to AI, the book offers an objective means of evaluating the AI agent's performance in handling these challenges. Each scenario presents options with a detailed breakdown of pros and cons, enriched by real-world examples. This approach introduces greater complexity, aiming to assess whether AI could be influenced or compromised in its decision-making. The book assesses the AI's evaluation in the “What Would AI Do?” section, providing an overall assessment that concludes each scenario.
This book caters to readers interested in artificial intelligence, ethics, and the examination of moral dilemmas in AI decision-making. The book also appeals to tech enthusiasts, AI researchers, philosophers, and those curious about the relationship between AI and ethics. Encouraging reflection on AI's responses to challenging scenarios, it provides a unique perspective on the intersection of morality and technology.
USING THE BOOK AS A SOCIAL GAME
"What Would AI Do?" can be a fun social game to be played with friends, as it allows the reader to reflect what they are going to do in the scenario. And at the end of each chapter, AI will present a "socially acceptable" and sound response, which can be considered as a "somewhat right" validated answer.
The book explores a series of thought-provoking story scenarios, each presenting complex ethical dilemmas and decision-making challenges. These scenarios are crafted as a short story, designed to be fun, entertaining and to stimulate critical thinking.
The scenarios are also used as an AI prompt, which are used in the later section to provide insight into how AI might navigate difficult situations, as each scenarios have at least 3 to 5 difficult options to choose from, giving readers insight on how AI use it's moral compass in handling these challenges.
Finally, the book asks the readers to reflect what they are going to do in the scenario. After reading the short story, each readers are encouraged to pause and reflect on the "What Would You Do?" section and choosing one of the options and explaining why, before presenting the AI's evaluation in the “What Would AI Do?” section, that provides an overall assessment of the scenario.
