Christel Seeberger
Sensory Friendly Solutions’ CEO and founder, Christel Seeberger, spent ¼ of a century as an occupational therapist in public and private practice. There, she observed an increasingly prevalent challenge amongst many of her clients, an overwhelming sense that the world is too busy, too noisy, and too bright. These sensory sensitivities prevailed across many groups. They were the result of people struggling from a myriad of underlying conditions including anxiety, autism, concussion, dementia, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, learning disability, hearing loss, low vision, neurological disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and many others.
Coincidentally, Christel then experienced sensory sensitivity herself. She developed adult-onset hearing loss and began wearing hearing aids for the first time. Joining the ranks of the sensory sensitive, Christel realized she had to take a new approach to solve the challenges faced by this large and growing segment of the population. She founded Sensory Friendly Solutions in 2016 with the mission of making the world more sensory-friendly.
