Reader Testimonials and Book Editing Page Update
published Aug 26, 2015
Today we’re releasing some improvements for Leanpub authors. Please let us know if you have any questions or suggestions by emailing us at email@example.com!
One common method for marketing books is through reader testimonials and reviewer comments. In print books, these are the blurbs you see on the back cover or inside of the book jacket saying positive things about the book and the author.
We’re now adding a section to Leanpub book landing pages where you can include testimonials from readers and reviewers of your books. Of course, it’s up to you to attribute the quotation correctly, and to ask permission from someone if you’re going to post a comment they made to you privately, over email for example.
If you have an image of the person, you can upload it so your customers can see their smiling face or avatar. Circle faces for the win!
To add testimonials, click on the new “Community” section in the menu on the left when you’re editing your book’s settings on Leanpub.
Reorganized Book Editing Page
We’ve reorganized the book editing page on Leanpub. All the same features are there, but the next time you go to work on your book, you’ll notice that things have moved around a bit. We did this to make it easier to find what you’re looking for under more relevant headings, and to divide up the process into three main categories of activity: writing, publishing and selling.
The coolest new improvement here is our overhaul of the book “Overview” page. Now you’ll have quick links to make important changes to your book and your book’s Leanpub web page, and you’ll even see a couple of charts showing you some relevant analytics.
We hope you find these changes helpful! Listening to our authors is a very important part of our process, and we’d love to hear your feedback.
