Full Stack Reactive

A greenfield project for building a reactive front and backend using microservices

About the Book

Full Stack Reactive documents an approach on how to build distributed applications using microservices. You will find information on setting up tooling like Artifactory and Jenkins in the cloud, define a build pipeline supporting continuous deployment using Docker, implement a reactive front and backend. All described processes are backed by up to date code repositories.

This edition will target a roll out in Amazon. Expect the latest versions from Artifactory, Docker, Ansible and Jenkins, but also the latest technologies for implementing our front and backend, like Java 9, Spring 5,  RxJS, React and Angular. You won't see any "hello world" like console writing, just close to real production content.

About the Author

Wolfgang Mattuttis
Wolfgang Mattuttis

Wolfgang Mattuttis is a freelance senior software engineer.

In 1994 Wolfgang already implemented his first commercial product for the internet, the internet cost monitor, a tool which kept track of the costs made when going online via ISDN or PSTN. Since then he always had a great interest in internet, internet services and hosting providers. He was attracted to both front and backend development. Along the years, the landscape changed dramatically, but he kept following.

Nowadays, his main interests are microservices (both front and backand), build pipelins and cloud architectures. As a close follower of trends he is currently spending lots of time in reactive frameworks which is expected to become mainstream soon.
