About the Book
This is the third novella in the Tales of a Brighter Future collection, but it is set before The Retreat and Zero Day in terms of the timeline.
It opens with a train wreck on the A train line. This being the line that people who didn't repopulate the countryside still use. The people of the B community send a rescue party, knowing that the A train people will be saving money and not doing anything for a while, including offering medical assistance.
The injured are recovered and taken back to a B settlement. One of those recovered wants to understand why the people he's been told are wrong and evil are helping him, and wants to hide from the people looking for him.
Then things start to get interesting.
Meet green cities, and a world learning how to live without hunger.
